I found out that there was updated firmware for the DH2G. Assuming that the graphics card and the Linux display drivers for your card will accept the resolutions, this could help make the desired dual or triple-wide resolutions available.
I did not have to add or del a mode. I too just picked up the TripleHead2Go but have not been able to configure it to work in Ubuntu 7. See connectivity requirements for details.
